PURPOSE:To obtain light dimmed to the maximum depth where lamp is left off. CONSTITUTION:The device is equipped with an inverter control circuit 5, a discharge lamp turn-out detection circuit 3, a dimming degree memory circuit 4 and a comparison circuit 6. It is detected by the discharge lamp turn-out detection circuit 3 that, the discharge lamp 2 is left off, and dimming degree limit data is thereby set in the dimming degree memory circuit 4. The comparison circuit 6 controls the control circuit 5 not to exceed the dimming limit data of the dimming degree memory circuit 4. |
