An injection-moulding machine has a machine foot (10), a fixed and a movable platen (12) and also a supporting plate (13), which bears a closing mechanism (S) and is movably connected to the fixed platen (11) via at least one force-transfer element, which substantially absorbs the forces occurring when the mould is closed. The fact that the force-transfer element is designed as a separate deforming element (bow 14), deformable by the stresses, and that the supporting plate (13) is mounted on the machine foot (10) movably in the closing direction achieves the effect that the deformations occurring during the closing operation are largely directed away without influence on the machine foot, without adversely affecting the mould parallelism (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
