<p>PURPOSE: To permit free communication between a host computer and a printer by using the merits of the calculating capability of the printer. CONSTITUTION: A resource assembler 208 decides whether or not a printer 218 can convert a plotting primitive into a bit map data file in a real time, and when the printer can not execute it, the resource assembler 208 converts it. Which of the printer and a host computer should process the part of a document is decided by using a load balancing technique. A resource assembler specifies dependency between resources so that a foreseeing capability can be applied to a resource loader 214, and the resource loader efficiently decides whether or not the specific resource to be used in the future should be held in a printer resource storage device. The resource assembler positively manages the set of a pictograph as a single resource. A resource scheduler decides that all resources necessary for the specific page of the document are present in the printer resource storage device, and generates an execution signal for triggering resource execution when all the resources are present in the printer resource storage device.</p> |
