PURPOSE:To increase cooling efficiency by allowing a solid-state laser medium and an entire light excitation means to be cooled uniformly. CONSTITUTION:A part where cooling water W0 flows inside a housing 1 is divided into 5 compartment chambers. For example, a first compartment chamber consists of a first flow-in chamber 9 and a first flow-out chamber 10. Piping after a pump 23 is divided into piping 24 to 28 and each piping is connected to the first to fifth compartment chambers. First cooling water W1 flows into the first flow-in chamber 9 and then flows into the side surface of a second flash lamp 3 via a fluid passage 8. Then, it crosses the flash lamp 3 and then flows to the flow-out chamber 10. In the same manner, second cooling water W2 flows into a second flow-in chamber 11 and then to the side surface of a laser medium 5 via the fluid passage 8 and at the same time it crosses the medium 5 and then flows to a second flow-out chamber 12, thus cooling the laser medium 5 and the second flash lamp 3 uniformly. |
