A description is given of a sliding-door installation with a motor drive. In the case of known installations of this type, the drive is covered from view by a covering hood. There is no dust-free termination with respect to the outside; rather, rubbed-off parts of the rollers and dirt can pass to the outside through the drive units. The novel development described relates to an installation in the case of which rubbed-off parts, dust and dirt are prevented from passing out of the drive, with the result that said installation can also be used for clean rooms. The units of the drive 5 are arranged in an enclosed receiving space 6. The running tube 4 is enclosed on all sides in the manner of a box and runs outside the receiving space 6. Provided in the vertical wall of the receiving space 6 is a slit 44s for the through-passage of drivers 58, 59 which couple the sliding leaves 1, 2 to the drive 5. The receiving space 6 is arranged in a drive case 60 which is delimited on its front side and rear side by wall elements 7, 8 which are arranged above the door.
