A vacuum-cleaner dust bag has a connection piece (2) which can be inserted by its lateral-edge regions (11, 12) into retaining grooves of the vacuum cleaner. A substantially plate-shaped base body (10), of cardboard-like rigidity, of the connection piece (2) contains a mounting opening (9) for mounting onto a vacuum-cleaner connection stub. Guided on the base body (10) is a closure slide (13) having a passage opening which can be pulled by means of a handle part (16) from an open position which frees the mounting opening (9) into a closed position. Located at the lateral-edge regions (11, 12) is a respective retaining strip (28, 29) which can be inserted into the facing vacuum-cleaner retaining groove and extends from the front rearwards up to a strip attachment point (33, 34). The retaining strips (28, 29) are fixedly connected to the base body (10) at the strip attachment points (33, 34), but are otherwise separated or separable from it. In the use position, the base-body part (35) starting from the strip attachment points (33, 34) between these and reaching up to the front end can be pivoted away out of the retaining-strip plane, so that the mounting opening (9) comes free from the connection stub (4) and the closure slide (13) can be pulled into the closed position. <IMAGE>
