摘要 It is an object of the invention to provide a process for preparing a barium titanate powder, in which a very high and almost temperature-independent dielectric constant is achieved for the barium titanate powder. According to the invention, this object is achieved by - mixing the base constituents in the form of AO or a precursor (with A = at least one element of the group consisting of barium, strontium, lead, calcium and magnesium) and BO2 or a precursor (with B = at least one element of the group consisting of titanium and zirconium) and, if desired, additives in the form of boron or oxides of the elements Si, Nb, Ta, Sn, Ni, Ca, Th, La or Zr, with the glass former, preferably a raw material component of B2O3, - cooling the melt, freely or rapidly, in a targeted manner to obtain an amorphous solid so as to subsequently crystallise barium titanate in the form of separate, defined fine particles in the amorphous material, - separating off the barium titanate particles from the remaining material and - mixing the base constituents and, if applicable, the additives with one another in such an amount that the fine particles obtained are barium titanate of defined composition.
