Lock-case-front gear mechanism of a window or of a door

The lock-case-front gear mechanism arranged in the sash/leaf frame of a window or of a door serves to drive a locking-bar fitting having a handle which is mounted rotatably on the sash/leaf frame and is intended for actuating a pinion (8) meshing with a rack, the rack (11, 15) being coupled to the locking bars. The lock-case-front gear mechanism is configured such that, in the switching positions of the locking-bar fitting which, in a window or door which pivots and tilts, are the closed position, the pivot position and the tilt position, arresting with the locking-bar fitting is achieved. In the switching positions of the locking-bar fitting, the pinion (8) can be arrested by spring-loaded latching means (20) which engage in tooth gaps of the pinion. The rest of the tooth gaps of the pinion have an abutment which extends as far as the outer circumference of the pinion and is intended for the spring-loaded latching means (20). This ensures that the spring-loaded latching means can engage only in tooth gaps of the pinion (8) which correspond to switching positions of the locking-bar fitting. The lock-case-front gear mechanism is used for windows or doors.
