In a band operating device of a packing machine the feeding set (1) consists of upper and lower brackets (2,3) which includes compression rollers (2a,2b,3a,3b). Both arms (4a) are inserted into both ends of a shaft (5), which passes through the upper part of an arm (4) which connects the upper and lower brackets. The other part of the said arms (4a) are fixed onto both ends of a shaft (6), which passes through the rear compression roller (2b) of the upper bracket (2). The said shaft (6) is supported on a spring (7), thereby the angular motion of the upper bracket (2) is changed into a compressing motion of the rear compression rollers (2b,3b).
