PURPOSE:To provide a word processor which can easily confirm the corresponding relation between a chart and a sentence part explaining the chart on a display means when the layout display is carried out for a document including the charts and sentences. CONSTITUTION:A document includes the chart data which are created by an image scanner, etc., based on the chart inserting position data and arranged in a sentence text created via the character keys, etc. Then the document is displayed on a CRT display, and the layout of the document is displayed with push of a layout display mode key (S3 and S4). Meanwhile the identification data on the chart selected and decided by a cursor key and a return key is picked up with retrieval of the chart identification data included in the sentence text. Then the chart identification data is displayed with emphasis (S7 and S8). Furthermore the chart is magnified and displayed (S10) when a magnification key is pushed (YES of S9). |
