PURPOSE:To lighten the load an exchange and to perform fine traffic control by taking a suitable regulation countermeasure by a signal device corresponding to the respective traffic conditions of a line exchange call and a packet exchange call to be housed in the signal device. CONSTITUTION:A subscriber line signal device 1 is connected through an interface circuit 4 to a subscriber terminal 2 connected to a subscriber line transmission circuit 3. When an exchange call signal is received from the terminal 2 by the device 1, a signal receiving terminal 5 discriminates whether the call is the line exchange call or the packet exchange call from signal contents from the service access point identifier of the D channel signal protocol of the CCITT recommendation of an ISDN. As a result, at the time of packet line exchange, a reception buffer 10 for line call is caught and at the time of packet exchange, a reception buffer 11 for packet call is caught respectively. Then, the received signal contents are written in the respective reception buffers. Namely, the signal device can take the suitable regulation countermeasure corresponding to respective traffic conditions. |
