<p>PURPOSE:To carry a magnetic tape used for a magnetic recording and reproducing device as a recording medium with damaging the tape as minimum as possible. CONSTITUTION:Plural tape driving rollers 1-5 to be in contact with the magnetic tape 10 with friction force and to carry it in a prescribed direction are provided along a tape traveling course in its adjacent positions, and the magnetic tape is carried by cooperatively driving these plural tape driving rollers 1-5. By this method, the occurrence of a pressing flaw which may be the case of carrying the magnetic tape 10 by using a pinch roller due to dust, etc., is prevented, while tape tension T1-T5 to be given for the purpose of nonslippage between the tape driving rollers 1-5 and the magnetic tape 10 when the magnetic tape is carried can be smaller than the case of carrying the tape by a single capstan shaft only.</p> |
