The jewellery chain (1) which can be connected to form a ring consists of a wire portion, at one end of which the fastener (7) is attached. The second end (13) has no connection means, i.e. the cut surface of the wire is exposed. For connection, the open end (13) is introduced axially into the bush (11) by the clamping means of the fastener (7) and held tightly by the latter.
