PURPOSE:To provide a processing liquid for the printing plate which is stably provided with lipophilic properties without generating uneven yellowing of the silver image of the lithographic printing plate by adding an organic compound contg. a specific group and hydroxylamines to the processing liquid. CONSTITUTION:The processing liquid composition for the printing plate contains an organic compound contg. at least two mercapto or thionic group per molecule and hydroxylamines. An example of the organic compounds contg. at least two mercapto or thionic group per molecule is represented by the formula. In the formula, R is H, NH2 or OH, etc. The adequate concn. of this organic compound in the processing liquid composition is 0.01 to 5wt.%. Examples of the hydroxylamines which can be preferably used for the processing liquid composition in combination with the above organic compound are CH3O-C2H4- NH-OH, etc. The adequate concn. of the hydroxylamines in the processing liquid composition, is 10<-3> to 5wt.% and its amount is preferably 1/10 to 10 times as much as that of the above mercapto-compound by weight. |
