What is proposed is a switch for a suspended conveyor, in which the flap closing the rail profile when the switch is opened is pivotable counter to the spring force and is vertically movable and can be locked by means of the weight of a conveying trolley rolling over it, in order to prevent the pivoting movement. This ensures that lateral forces originating from the conveying trolleys travelling over the flap cannot lead to a pivoting of the flap and therefore to a derailment of the conveying trolleys. <IMAGE>
