A machine managing apparatus (999) for concentratively managing conditions of a machine (100) and in particular an apparatus for monitoring an image-forming apparatus comprises communication control means (900), connected to an image-forming control means performing the control of an image-forming operation of a main body of the image-forming apparatus, for controlling transmission and reception performed via a communication line (908) to and from an external apparatus, and inhibit means for inhibiting the transmission from the communication control means to the external apparatus in order to prevent damaged data from being transmitted to the external apparatus, said damaged data being such that when a power supply of the image-forming control means is turned off during transfer of data from the image-forming control means to the communication control means, the data results in a loss.
