A cutting machine 1 for cutting a workpiece 3 is disclosed, which has a supply conveying arrangement 7 for advancing the workpiece 3, a position-adapting unit 10 for carrying out the positional adaptation of the workpiece 3 advanced on the supply conveying arrangement 7, a position-adaptation correction unit 12 for checking and calculating the deviation of the workpiece 3, a cutting arrangement for cutting the workpiece 3 supplied on the supply conveying arrangement 7 according to the deviation calculated by the position-adaptation correction unit 12, a receiving unit 15 for receiving parts from the cutting arrangement by means of a suction system, a delivery conveying arrangement 18 for supplying parts received by the receiving unit 15 as well as an interlinking control arrangement 24 for interlinked control of the individual components.
