PURPOSE:To obtain the acoustic reproduction device reproducing a sound field having a sense of spread and of depth without losing a sense of localization by using two forward left and right speakers only in the stereophonic reproduction. CONSTITUTION:A main signal and a sound field signal are added and the sum is fed to one unit 6e in two speaker units 6a, 6b of the same performance and arranged close to each other in each of left and right channels and the sum of the main signal and the polarity inverted sound field signal is fed to the other unit 6b. Thus, a radiation characteristic of the sound field signal is an 8-shaped dipole characteristic and since a notch direction of radiation of the sound field signal is directed toward a listener 7 when a major axis of the radiation of the main signal is directed toward the listener 7, the sound field signal is not directly reached to the listener 7 and the reflected sound in a room is dominant. |
