For varying the axial stroke of vibrating inking rollers (30) in rotary printing machines, in a housing (3) which can be driven in rotation and rotates about the axis of rotation (9), at least one eccentric bolt (18) is mounted so as to be rotatable about its axis of rotation (19) and has the distance (a) from the axis of rotation (9). The eccentric bolt (18) has an eccentric pin (20) which is mounted at least at one of its ends and has the same distance (a) from the axis of rotation (19) of the eccentric bolt (18). The eccentric bolt (18) can be rotated via a sleeve (10) and via the planetary gearwheel (16), i.e. the eccentric pin (20) is variable in its distance relative to the axis of rotation (9). The eccentric pin (20) transmits its rotary movement via a sliding block (29) into a reciprocating movement with which the inking roller (30) is driven axially.
