PURPOSE:To automatically judge whether the spooling position of a package is conforming or not by shooting the slit light applied to the end face of the package with a CCD camera and then calculating the ratio which the image of the slit light occupies within a window. CONSTITUTION:When a slit light 2 along the direction of radius of an end face 1 of a package P is applied from a slit light source 3 skewly in the direction of right angle. slit light along the shape of the end face appears on the end face 1. When the position of the end face 1, namely a spoolitng position, is shifted in upper or lower direction. the lighting position of the light 2 also deviates forward and backward from a normal position. When the light 2 is shot from the opposite side of the light source 3 with a CCD camera 4, the inside of a window 24 provided at an evaluation range 22 of the image signal while the position is shifted from a normal slit light image position 23 becomes dark in the case of the normal spooling position and bright in the other cases. Therefore, an operation processing part judges that the package is conforming when the ratio where the bright part within the window 24 occupies is equal to or less than a specific value and that the package is not conforming in other cases. |
