PURPOSE:To obtain a metal surface without any oxidized scale by grinding a steel strip whose surface is stuck with an oxided scale in a state in which the strip is tightly contacting with a turning roll by pressing a rotary grinder using ultra abrasive grains on the strip without pickling. CONSTITUTION:Turning rolls 51-54 by which the rotary grinder 1, a driving motor 3 for the grinder 1, a grinder transfer motor and the steel strip S are supported and moved are provided. When the rotary grinder 1 is applied with vibration from the strip S, the vibrating energy is absorbed by the grinder 1 with elastic function of a thin disk 1b by which an abrasive grain part 1a is supported. The abrasive grain part of the grinder 1 is constituted with the ultra abrasive grains (CBN or diamond). Contacting pressure of the grinder 1 and strip S is always measured by a load cell and grinding amount is controlled. |
