PURPOSE:To provide an elevator device in which a car does never contact with a guide rail or the like during running, and can run quietly and safely. CONSTITUTION:A car 1 has, for example, an octagonal shape in a horizontal cross-section, and superconductive coils 2A to 2D are arranged at four sides 12, 14, 16, 18 thereof. Further, primary coils 4A to 4D are laid in the elevator shaft side, at positions facing the superconductive coils so that linear synchronized motors are formed at four positions along the outer periphery of the car 1. The entrance of the car is formed at a side at which no superconductive coil is provided, and a storage space for a car door is defined at a side where the superconductive coil is laid, without interfering with the coil. Further, the primary coils are connected in a null-flux manner in order to prevent induction currents generated during running from being canceled out. |
