PURPOSE:To provide a portable memory medium such as a facilities utilizing card becoming easy to discover and prevent the alteration of a visible image showing value or the like. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording layer 11 as a memory part storing data is formed to the rear surface of a substrate 10 formed into a card shape and a printing layer 12 on which a visible image of precautions is printed is formed on the surface of the magnetic recording layer 11. A recording layer 13 capable of recording a color visible image by the laser beam from an optical recording device is formed on the upper surface of the substrate 10 and the surface thereof is covered with a transparent protective film 14. A predetermined pattern (pattern layer) 15 is preliminarily formed on the protective film 14 by printing. The recording layer 13 consists of a photothermal conversion material, a thermal recording material, white pigment and a binder and shows a light-colored or white substrate color. The photothermal conversion material desirably has the main wavelength of the laser beam from the optical recording device in a main absorption wavelength part.
