PURPOSE:To obtain a readily usable method for decomposing an organic aminocarboxylic acid with a microorganism in which the organic aminocarboxylic acid can efficiently be decomposed without exerting any damaging action on humans and the new microorganism, capable of decomposing the organic aminocarboxylic acid and extremely suitable for carrying out this method. CONSTITUTION:This method for decomposing an organic aminocarboxylic acid utilizing a microorganism is characterized by bringing a bacterium which has the ability to decompose the organic aminocarboxylic acid and belong to the genus Bacillus into contact with the organic aminocarboxylic acid, its metallic complex or a salt thereof. Furthermore, this microorganism (Bacillus editabidus) is capable of decomposing the organic aminocarboxylic acid. |
