PURPOSE:To perform the octagonal flat packaging of a flat product in a horizontal bag-filling packaging to enable the packing of the package in a circular container, to enable the packaging of an ingredient for TEMPURA (Japanese deep-fried food) in a flat octagonal shape to tightly fill the package into a container of a cupped instant Chinese noodle and to dispense with the work to fold four corners of the bag before putting into the container. CONSTITUTION:The end seal cutter 4 to be used in the present process is provided with a pair of parallelly arranged heater blocks 4a, 4b having a narrow heater width at a part corresponding to the middle part in the width of the bag and gradually widening toward the upstream and the downstream sides. An end seal S is applied to a bag by moving the heater blocks along the box- motion orbits M1, M2. The middle part of the width of the end seal S is cut with a cutter 4c having a single blade at the middle part and bifurcated in V-shape at both ends by moving the cutter 4c along a box-motion orbit M2. |
