THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a thermal transfer recording medium capable of applying sharp printing to general-purpose paper or a plastic base material excellent in scratch resistance and lap-transfer properties and capable of obtaining a gradation image. CONSTITUTION:A release layer 12 containing at least an acrylic resin with a glass transition temp. of 50-100 deg.C and a mol.wt. of 2000-20000 and a recording layer 11 containing at least an epoxy resin with an m.p. of 60-100 deg.C and melt viscosity at the m.p. of 10000 poise or less and a colorant are provided on a base material 13 having heat resistance. Since the release layer has good thermal response and facilitates the release of the recording layer from the base material, the transfer of the recording layer is made possible even by low energy.
