<p>PURPOSE:To provide a paper feeder with a locking mechanism for an image forming device which ensures locking of a front loading type feeder tray to a mount position and eliminates noise and heat generation. CONSTITUTION:A feeder tray 1 mounted at a preset mount position has the locking portion 3 protruded upward on a wall at the corner or front side. A feeder roller shaft 5 is provided coaxially with a semielliptic feeder tray stopper 4 in such a manner that a semielliptic feeder roller is in phase with the segmental portion. During paper feeding, the arc portion of the feeder tray stopper 4 is engaged with the locking portion 3 to lock the feeder tray, and during standby the arc portion is disengaged from the locking portion 3 to unlock the feeder tray.</p> |
