<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a jam by detecting moving speeds on the upstream side and the downstream side of a paper sheet when the paper sheet is carried through an upstream side roller and a downstream side roller, and correcting driving continuing time of the paper sheet by the upstream side roller according to a difference between the moving speeds. CONSTITUTION:In a copying machine, when copying operation is carried out, a paper sheet in a paper feed cassette 11 is delivered one by one from the uppermost one by rotation of a paper feed roller 12, and next, the delivered paper sheet reaches a timing roller 15 through an intermediate roller 14, and is sent to the photosensitive drum 5 side after being shifted leftward by a carrier roller 13. Respective rollers 12-14 are put in an idle rumming condition when a solenoid of a downstream side roller is turned off after the paper sheet carrying initiative is transferred to the downstream side roller from an upstream side roller. In this case, moving speeds on the upstream side and the downstream side of the paper sheet are detected, and driving continuing time of the paper sheet by the upstream side roller is corrected according to a difference between the moving speeds, and the occurrence of a jam or the like due to abrasion or the like caused by degradation of a roller with the lapse of time is prevented.</p> |
