<p>PURPOSE:To provide a plastic vessel with a girp, wherein a grip member is attached to a body of a vessel, while a sufficient wall thickness is provided at the corner of the body of large capacity having polygonal cross section, and to make it possible to insert a hand easily into the grip, while decrease in the volume of the body is minimized. CONSTITUTION:A grip member 14 having been molded is inserted into a blow cavity mold 16 and a preform is formed by blow molding in the mold 16 to form the member 14 integrally with a body 12 of a vessel. In this case, the body 12 has a polygonal cross section and a recessed section is formed over a region including a corner 26, and the grip member 14 includes a grip body 20 extending nearly parallelly with the axis of the body 12 and mounting legs extending from the longitudinally opposite ends of the body 20 to the center of the body 12 and having on the ends thereof engaging protrusions for engagement with the body 12, and the member 14 is disposed in the recessed section and the body 20 is disposed nearly on the extension lines of the corner 26.</p> |
