ANALYZER FEATURING A CIRCULAR TRACK OF CARTRIDGES CENTERED ON AN INCUBATOR, AND METHOD OF USE There is disclosed in one aspect, apparatus useful in an analyzer, comprising a first mechanism for moving a stack of elements around at least one generally circular, horizontal track, a second mechanism for temporarily holding a stack on said track, and a third mechanism for altering the second mechanism between two states, one which holds the stack on the track. A further aspect comprises a method of supplying test elements from a stack of like elements to an incubator. The method features moving several such stacks around a generally circular track centered on an incubator, and transferring test elements from the stacks into the incubator.
