CYCLIC PENTAPEPTIDE CONTAINING BETA TURN AND GAMMA TURN, ITS PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To form beta turn and gamma turn irrespective of the kind of residue only by controlling optical activity of a main chain of a cyclic pentapeptide and to obtain a cyclic pentapeptide containing beta turn and gamma turn. CONSTITUTION:In a cyclic pentapeptide of the formula cyclo(-A1-A2-A3-A4-A5-), A1, A3 and A5 are D-alpha-amino acid residues and A2 and A4 are L-alpha-amino acid residues or A1, A3 and A5 are L-alpha-amino acid residues and A2 and A4 are D-alpha- amino acid residues to give the objective cyclic pentapeptide having a steric structure of combination of beta turn at the 1-2-3 positions with gamma turn at the 3-4-5-1 positions.
