PURPOSE:To produce a thick film at a high speed by adapting a cooling method developing excellent effect by a simple device by cooling the film extruded from an annular die in a tubular shape by mist-containing air. CONSTITUTION:In the production of a synthetic resin film, at first, fine waterdrops are generated from a sprayer 4 to form mist-containing air having waterdrops uniformly dispersed therein and this mist-containing air is guided to an air ring 3 to be blown off from the outlet of the air ring 3 to cool the film 2 extruded from an annular die 1 in a tubular shape. The mist-containing air flows along the tubular film 2 to receive heat from the film to rise in its temp. and mist, that is, fine waterdrops become steam to take the heat of evaporation to become cooling air to cool the film 2. Since the film can be cooled without increasing wind quantity, a stable film good in thickness accuracy can be produced at a high speed even in the case of a thick film. |
