PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, comprising a thermoplastic polyester resin mixture which is a specific component, a flame retardant, a flame retardant assistant, a stabilizer and an inorganic filter in a specified proportion, excellent in flame retardancy, etc., and with hardly any contamination with decomposition products, etc., in a high-temperature atmosphere and useful as lighting equipment, etc. CONSTITUTION:This resin composition is composed of (A) (i) polybutylene naphthalenedicarboxylate and/or (ii) a copolymer containing >=80wt.% component (i) and/or (iii) a thermoplastic polyester resin mixture containing >=60wt.% component (i), (B) 2-25wt.% brominated polycarbonate flame retardant, (C) 2-15wt.% flame retardant assistant consisting essentially of antimony pentoxide expressed by formula I [(p) is 0.6-0.8; pH8.5-10.5; H2O is water of crystallization; (q) is 0-4], (D) 0.01-10wt.% hydrous basic carbonate compound of Mg and Al, preferably hydrotalcite expressed by formula II [(x) is 0.2-0.4; (m) is <=2] and (E) 0-70wt.% inorganic filler. |
