PURPOSE: To form an apertured thermoplastic film or web being suitable for a surface sheet for an absorptive hygienic product and simulated to a fibrous non-woven or woven fabric on appearance and hand by passing a thermoplastic polymer through various processes. CONSTITUTION: A molten thermoplastic polymer is extruded through a die 12 of an extruder 14 to form a thermoplastic web 10 and this web 10 is then passed through a nip 16 between an emboss roll 18 made of a metal and a back-up roll 20 with a smooth surface to perform emboss treatment to form a plurality of small apertures. Then, the web 10 is drawn out by a predraw unit 30 consisting of a plurality of metal rolls 32, 34, 36 and 38 and is transferred to a tenter unit, where it is drawn in the width direction by a specified ratio and then, it is transferred to a drawing unit in the mechanical direction to draw it in the mechanical direction (a longer direction). Finally, by performing emboss processing by a plurality of projected members, the surface of the web is finished into a matte type. |
