摘要 PURPOSE:To surely and effectively evaluate the degree of relaxation of a person to be measured by calculating the brain wave power values within two specific frequency ranges by each of electrodes from the brain wave signals measured at least at one point, determining the totals sums and determining the ratio of the grand totals. CONSTITUTION:The brain wave signals BS determined by detaining the electrodes 1 to at least >=1 points of the brain of the person to be measured is inputted into an LPF 11 and the signals LS within the 8 to 11HZ and 11 to 14Hz ranges are extracted. The signals LS are subjected to Fourier transform to obtain the brain wave power spectra BP, which are then inputted to an extracting means 13. The brain wave power values SP are determined and the grand total values GT are determined by a calculating means 14 and are inputted to an evaluating means 15. The values are compared with the standard values RV of a standard value table 16 where the standard values are previously stored and the evaluation values ES of the present living state are outputted by images or sentences in the evaluating means 15. As a result, the degree of relaxation of the person to be measured is effectively and surely determined.
