PURPOSE:To prepare a polyester film excellent in adhesion, moldability, impact resistance and taste characteristics and desirable for use in a metallic can manufactured by a molding process by specifying its melting point and its contents of diethylene glycol and acetaldehyde. CONSTITUTION:This polyester film desirably a laminated polyester film is prepared by laminating a film of a polyester of a melting point of 150-230 deg.C (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate of a copolymerized isophthalic acid content of 17.5mol%) with a film of a polyester having a melting point of 220-250 deg.C (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate of a copolymerized isophthalic acid content of 5mol%), wherein the melting point is 150-250 deg.C, the content of the diethylene glycol component is 0.01-1wt.%, and the content of acetaldehyde is 50ppm or below. |
