METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MESSAGE COMMUNICATION

PURPOSE: To obtain a flexible multi-stage network address specifying method which is tolerant of a fault for message transmission by using a specific message format. CONSTITUTION: Each message 15 generated at a transmission node has a message header 10. The 1st word of this header includes a destination node ID number 12 defining a node that receives the message and further includes a command field 11 and an application control field 13. The 2nd word of the header 10 includes a source node ID number 14 indicating the node number of the transmission node. Further, a network header 20 is generated from the destination field and positioned in front of the message header 10 and message data 16, thus forming a block 18.
