PURPOSE:To improve paractical use by preventing scattering of toner due to the erroneous replacement of a toner cartridge. CONSTITUTION:A processor unit is equipped with a photosensitive drum 1, a development device 4 with a toner storage part, the toner cartridge 14 for supplying toner to the development device, an elastic blade 16 for cleaning up toner remaining on the photosensitive drum after transfer, and a waste toner storage part 17 for storing the toner removed by the elastic blade. This processor unit is provided with a locking member 21, disposed on the development device, which locks the attached toner cartridge so that it cannot be replaced, a sensor for detecting that the toner in the toner storage part in the development device has decreased below the prescribed amount, and a releasing member 25 for, when the sensor detects the amount below the prescribed one, releasing the toner cartridge locked by the loking member. |
