PURPOSE:To accurately detect a small angular velocity with high sensitivity by inclining a vibrator at a predetermined angle in an X-axis direction to vibrate the vibrator, and obtaining a phase displaced amount of displacement outputs of X-axis and Y-axis occurring by a force to an input angular velocity. CONSTITUTION:Vibrating states of a vibrator 14 in X and Y directions are respectively detected by X-axis, Y-axis encoders 18a, 18b, amplified by X-axis, Y-axis preamplifiers 44a, 44b, a sum of output signals is input to a phase shifter 46 to be displaced to a suitable phase, and input to an amplifier 50. A sum of output signals of the preamplifiers 44a, 44b is also input to an automatic control gain circuit (AGC) 48, and a gain necessary to vibrate the vibrator 14 is designated to the amplifier 50. The amplifier 50 controls by this designation vibrating means 16 in synchronization with a resonant state of the vibrator 14 with desired vibration gain. Output signals of the preamplifiers 44a, 44b are multipliers by a multiplier 62, inputted to an operator 64, multiplied by a predetermined coefficient A, and an angular velocity is outputted. Thus, the velocity can be accurately detected with high sensitivity by a small-sized, low-cost structure. |
