PURPOSE: To generate a high-definition color image fast with good economy by performing image processing by using a graphic system controlled by a general computer. CONSTITUTION: The graphic system 300 of the desk-top publishing system (DPF) system 100 is controlled by a general computer system 200 through a system bus 130. The system 300 has a rendering processor 310, a graphic engine 320, etc., and expands and compresses beltlike images from objects in a display list to generate an image as beltlike images. Selected beltlike images are expanded and put together with additional beltlike images from objects to be added in the display list to edit the beltlike images, so that the edited image is compressed and stored. A high-definition full-color image is generated fast and copied by the good-economy constitution which uses the general computer. |
