A device for filling elongate bakery products, for example a baguette, comprises the following steps: 1 providing an elongate bakery product, for example a baguette; 2 providing a substantially rigid carrier for filling, which carrier tapers at the front side and at the front side is provided with a delivery opening for filling which has previously been placed in the device; 3 placing the device inside the elongate baker's product; 4 retracting the device from the baker's product while leaving the filling behind.
