The invention relates to a GIANT chess board (8x8m) with a fold-up inflatable structure, which can be folded up to form a travel bag together with the 32 playing pieces. It can then be inflated and deployed automatically as an assembly through the action of an air generator connected to the main supply valve (1) which will also serve for deflation of the assembly. The structure and the playing pieces are connected by DISCONNECTABLE NON-RETURN valves WITH DOUBLE FLOW DIRECTION. The playing pieces have a specific shape for their base enabling them to be attached by suction pads (30) or to be weighted down on the chess board (31). <IMAGE>
