PURPOSE:To provide a dielectric ceramic composition having a high dielectric constant, a small dielectric loss, large dielectric breakdown voltage and insulation resistance, and a small crystal grain size by specifying the composition of BaO, SrO, TiO2, and PrO11/6. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric ceramic composition is expressed by the general formula x[(BaO)1-m(SrO)m].yTiO2.zPrO11/6, where the value of (m) is 0.005<=m<=0.100, (x), (y), (z) indicate mol%, x+y+z=1, and values of (x), (y), (z) are within the range of mol% surrounded by (a), (b), (c), (d) shown by the table in the ternary diagram. Nb2O3 of 0.3-3.0 pts.wt. is added to this dielectric ceramic composition as an auxiliary constituent as required, and it can be made thin without increasing the dielectric loss. High-purity BaCo3, SrCO3, TiO2, Pr6O11, and an auxiliary MnO2 powder are combined at the prescribed composition, they are calcined, crushed, pressurized, molded, and baked to obtain the ceramic composition. |
