PURPOSE:To provide a solid high-polymer type fuel cell of good power generat ing efficiency, which can precisely perform cooling of the fuel cell and humidifi cation of the reaction gas in harmony under the temp. and pressure conditions and which can prevent condensation of the water vapor contained in the reaction gas. CONSTITUTION:A fuel cell includes an electrolyte-electrode joining body, which consists of an electrolyte 10 and a pair of electrodes 11. 12 joined in such a way as pinching the electrolyte 10, a pair of gas partitioning plates 13, 14 formed from a gas untransmissive conductor installed on both sides of this electrolyte-electrode joining body, and reaction gas supply passages 15, 16 which are provided in the gas partition plates 13. 14 and which partially contact the joining body. Further, cooling/humidifying water conduits 17, 18 are furnished which are of water permeative and are installed in the supply passages 15, 16. |
