Guide for a wire (10) machine comprising, on the one hand, a first guide piece (20) made of hard stone, having a longitudinal groove (21) in which the said wire (10) is intended to slide and, on the other hand, a second piece (30) forming a shutter, also made of hard stone, intended to hold the wire (10) in the said longitudinal groove (21). According to the invention, the said hard stone forming the first (20) and second (30) pieces is diamond, and the said first guide piece (20) constitutes a piece made as a single part in which the longitudinal groove (21) is machined.
