Line threader

A device for laying a line around a remotely arranged bar, a ring section, etc., is described. The device has a retaining rod, on the front end of which a lay-around part is arranged which has an openable and closable sectional ring to which the front end of the line to be laid around the bar can be fastened. The two ends of the sectional ring are displaceably mounted between a first and second end position in or on a guide arranged on the retaining rod. By displacement of the sectional ring relative to the guide, a bar around which the line is to be laid can be inserted into the space between sectional ring and guide and can be led out of this space again, the line being laid around the bar. The sliding guide between guide and sectional ring ensures a simple, easy and functionally reliable mode of operation. <IMAGE>
