Dynamic mould temperature control during injection moulding

For controlling the temperature of an injection mould, a process is proposed in which the heating of a geometrically defined mould area continues to a small depth on the opened mould. During the closing phase, a cooling of the mould takes place by heat conduction, convection and radiation. The heating must therefore be carried out up to such a high temperature that only after complete moulding does the temperature in the mould wall drop below the solidifying point of the polymer melt.
