BALANCING MIXER, DISTRIBUTOR AND BAND BLOCKING FILTER USED THEREFOR, AND METHOD FOR MIXING FREQUENCIES

A locally oscillated wave is distributed in phase to unit mixers (2a) and (2b) in order to suppress more the unwanted waves generated in the case where the frequencies (flo) of the locally oscillated wave are lower than the frequency (fin) of the signal wave. On the other hand, the signal waves are distributed by a 180-degree distributor (4) in inverted phase to the unit mixers (2a) and (2b). The unit mixers (2a) and (2b) mix the frequencies of the locally oscillated wave thus distributed and signal wave, and supply the result to a 180-degree combiner (6) through a BRF (16a) or (16b). The 180-degree combiner (6) combines in opposite phase the outputs of the BRF (16a) and (16b), and outputs them. Among the unwanted waves, the harmonics of the locally oscillated wave is suppressed by the opposite-phase combination, while the signal wave is suppressed by the BRFs (16a) and (16b). The mixed wave of the harmonics of the locally oscillated wave and signal wave are suppressed by the in-phase distribution of the locally oscillatedwave and the opposite-phase distribution of the signal wave.
