A connector (10) is disclosed for the electrical connection of circuit elements (12, 14) which have contact surfaces (16, 16a) arranged in a high density in a flat panel, the connector (10) having a holder (18) which is specific for that flat panel, can be produced easily and is used for positioning (in a manner such that they can be fixed) standardized contact modules (20) which are mass-produced and contain a deformable contact (22) within a module body (24) for the interconnection of the contact surfaces (16, 16a), the contact (22) being constructed in such a manner that the module body (24) engages in a supporting manner thereon in order to create a sufficient opposing spring force to bring about an intermediate connection (which is carried out with a sliding effect) between the contact (22) and the contact surfaces (16, 16a).
