A heatable line is proposed for a flow medium, in particular a hosepipe, whose ability to be packaged (prepared) is not restricted by the inventive arrangement of an electric heating conductor, a particularly high heat conduction being achieved between the heating conductor and the flow medium. The line is provided with a flow path (2) defined by a wall and surrounded by a thermal insulation and said line comprises in addition to the electric heating conductor (3) connecting pieces (4) at the ends for coupling to installations, machinery and other lines or further line sections.
